Is AI Chatbot really free?
Yes! Our platform is completely free to use. You only need to bring your own API keys from providers like Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic. We don't charge any subscription fees or usage costs.
Why is it free?
We believe AI should be accessible to everyone. By using your own API keys, you pay the AI providers directly at their cost, and we don't need to mark up prices or charge subscription fees. This keeps the service free and transparent.
What are API keys and how do I get them?
API keys are credentials that allow you to access AI services. You can get them from providers like Google AI Studio (free tier available), OpenAI, or Anthropic. Simply sign up with the provider, generate an API key, and add it to your account settings.
How much do API keys cost?
It varies by provider. Google offers a generous free tier, OpenAI charges per token (typically $0.002-$0.03 per 1K tokens), and Anthropic has similar pricing. Most users spend less than $5-10/month for regular use.
Security & Privacy
How secure are my API keys?
Your API keys are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption and stored securely in our database. They're only decrypted when making API calls on your behalf and are never logged or shared.
Do you store my conversations?
Yes, conversations are stored to provide you with chat history and context. However, they're encrypted and only accessible to you. We never use your data for training AI models or share it with third parties.
Can I delete my data?
Absolutely! You can delete individual conversations or your entire account at any time from the settings page. All associated data will be permanently removed from our systems.
Is my data shared with AI providers?
When you use AI features, your prompts are sent to the respective AI provider (Google, OpenAI, etc.) using your API key. We recommend reviewing each provider's privacy policy. Most providers don't use API data for training.

Is there a mobile app?
Currently, we're web-based and fully responsive, working great on mobile browsers. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap for future development.

Each account is designed for individual use. For team collaboration, we recommend each team member create their own account with their own API keys.
